This kit is perfect for those who want the convenience of bottled soda water without the hassle of a bulky Sodastream machine. Although it does not include bottles, we recommend purchasing affordable Coles branded Sodawater bottles from your local supermarket. These bottles, which have strong threads for our Carbonation Cap, are the best value and will fit perfectly in your fridge. At just around $0.75 cents each, they are a cost-effective choice for any budget.

Installation:

  1. Install the Regulator to the 2.6kg CO2 Bottle with a length of hose that suits your needs. We'd suggest around 2m or so. Ensure you cut straight and cleanly. No burs or cuts.
  2. Attach the grey push in connector to the Regulator. Then attach the length of hose to it, ensuring you have pushed it as far as it can go in.
  3. Then attach the opposing end into the Red/Grey Disconnect, again push it all the way on.
  4. What what we are going to do now is a pressure check to ensure you don't lose an entire bottle of gas.
  5. Turn on the 2.6kg Cylinder from the black handle ontop of it. The left hand side gauge of the regulator should shoot up (don't worry about the value) Next we will increase the pressure on the regulator up to 30psi then turn off the 2.6kg Cylinder pressure. Come back in an hour or so, if the regulator is reading zero. Then you'll have a leak somewhere in the system. Ensure everything is just a little bit more tight than hand tight. Check the hosing with soapy water if you're still experiencing leaks.

Fizzy Water time!

Step 1
Fill up your desired bottles with cold water from the tap or filtered water and screw in the Red Carbonation Cap. I'd leave a little bit of headspace, maybe three or fingers from the top. The more headroom you give it, the fast it will carbonate (fizz up) (these should be soda water bottles, not just normal still water bottles as these are not pressure rated).

Step 2
Chill down the bottle in the fridge, this usually takes about 5 to 6 hours. But its easier to put them in the fridge overnight

Step 3
Turn on your 2.6kg Cylinder from the top valve. Dial-up your regulator to about 30psi.

Step 4.
Pull the lip on the Red/Grey Disconnect back and connect up the disconnect to the Red Carbonation Cap.

Step 5
Shake it like a polaroid picture in 30 second intervals. Gently open up the bottle and taste test. If it needs more fizz, repeat this step. (It's easy to get CO2 into a liquid, its much harder to get it out. That is why we suggest to do it in stages to find the right threshold you prefer)
