Cider Yeast

• SafCider AC-4 (Crisp): a dry, fresh cider.
• SafCider AS-2 (Sweet): a rounder cider that keeps more perceived sweetness.
• SafCider TF-6 (Tutti-Frutti): extra fruity aromatics, good for fruit ciders.
• Mangrove Jack's M02: a clean all-rounder that suits most apple ciders.

Can I use wine yeast for cider?

Yes, but a champagne or wine yeast usually ferments drier and with less apple aroma. A cider strain keeps more of the fruit.

How much yeast do I need?

Follow the dose on the sachet for your batch size.

Should I add nutrient?

Apple juice can be short of nitrogen. A yeast nutrient helps the ferment finish cleanly; see brewing chemicals.
