FAQ

What does an airlock do?

It lets fermentation gas out without letting air or contaminants in.

What do I put in an airlock?

Cooled boiled water or a little diluted no-rinse sanitiser.

My airlock isn't bubbling. Is fermentation stuck?

Not necessarily. Gas often escapes past a loose lid. Check progress with a hydrometer instead.
