Pellet Hops - Tettnang
Discover the classic and revered Tettnang hop, whose spicy, fruity aroma and flavor bring out the best in any German beer. Originating from an old German landrace, this hop is now cultivated all over the world. While you may find Swiss, US, and Australian varieties on the market, be aware that some labeled "Tettnanger" are actually a blend with Fuggle and not the true Tettnang hop. This special hop is mainly grown in the southwest German village of Tettnang and in small quantities near Lake Konstanz in Switzerland. With a genetic similarity to Saaz and characteristic similarity to Hallertau, Tettnang stands out with its higher content of farnesene, resulting in a delicate spiciness and a harmonious blend of floral and herbal notes. Perfect for both bittering and aroma, it is a must-have for European-style lagers and pilsners.
