Pellet Hops - Hersbrucker
Originally bred to resist verticillium wilt and replace the popular Hallertau Mittelfrüh, German hop Hersbrucker remains consistently produced with over 1000 metric tons annually. It boasts a balanced, fruity, spicy, and floral aroma with low alpha acids and low cohumulone, making it a favorite among German lagers and now English cask ales. Despite attempts to increase its alpha acid content with cloning, its original form continues to shine.
