A Belgian blonde built from pilsner and Munich malt with dextrose, landing around 7% once diluted. The same wort will take you to a tripel, a Belgian strong or a dubbel depending on the yeast and how you treat it.
Twenty-five IBU on a 1.070 wort is low on purpose. In Belgian styles the balance comes from the yeast and the dextrose drying the finish, not from hops, which is why the choice of strain does more here than anything else.

- Original gravity: 1.070 with 3 L of water added, or 1.080 undiluted
- ABV: about 7% with 3 L of water added
- Bitterness: 25 IBU
- Colour: 10 EBC
- Style: Belgian blonde; also suits tripel, Belgian strong or dubbel
- Hops: Magnum and Saaz
- Malt: pilsner, Munich and dextrose
What you get
- A cube of pre-boiled, sealed wort
- No yeast — a Belgian abbey strain such as M47 is what makes the style
There is no mash and no boil. Tip the wort into a sanitised fermenter, pitch your yeast and hold a steady temperature until fermentation finishes. Yeast is not supplied, so add a sachet to your order. Brewed with Stomping Ground.
