The pressing is a process that runs on fresh plants, seeds, fruits and plant exhausted after completing the extraction process (maceration, percolation, etc ..). The plant material is first cleaned and subsequently cut. The size depends on the type of product that is used. The pressure of the material takes place by the action of a pressing plate which is actuated manually by a screw, or automatically with an hydraulic piston. The pressing ends only when there isn’t a significant leakage of the liquid. For the pressing of fruit or similar products, we recommend using a protective plexiglass around the basket of the press, in order to contain sketches of the product. For the squeezing of material with fine grade can be used linen bags for containment of the product.
