SodaStream Quick Connect Terra/Art/Duo Filling Adaptor with 700mm Hose

The SodaStream Quick Connect Filling Adaptor with 700mm Hose lets you refill pink Quick Connect SodaStream cylinders, as used in the Terra, Art, Duo and Gaia, from an Australian standard bulk CO2 cylinder. The 700mm braided hose gives enough reach to keep the SodaStream cylinder on a digital scale while it fills, so you can fill by weight and stop at its rated capacity.

Safety first

• Wear safety glasses or goggles. Liquid CO2 is under very high pressure and can cause freeze burns or eye injuries if it vents unexpectedly.
• Work in an open or well-ventilated space, because CO2 displaces oxygen.
• Never overfill. Watch the weight on a scale the whole time, as an overfilled cylinder can burst when it warms up.

How to use

1. Put on eye protection.
2. Start with a completely empty SodaStream cylinder, and chill it in the freezer first so it takes liquid CO2 more readily.
3. Stand the cold cylinder on a digital scale and tare it.
4. Remove the residual pressure valve (RPV) from the bulk supply cylinder valve.
5. Screw the brass end of the hose firmly onto the supply cylinder.
6. Push the SodaStream cylinder's Quick Connect fitting into the adaptor and tighten the grub screw.
7. Turn the supply cylinder upside down so liquid CO2 can flow, then open its valve.
8. Stop when the scale reaches the net capacity printed on the SodaStream cylinder, then close the supply valve.
9. Open the release valve on the adaptor to bleed off line pressure, remove the cylinder and check its final weight.
