The webbing strap shown in older photos is no longer included. It has been replaced by the FermZilla All Rounder Hex Base with sticky dots, an optional upgrade sold separately.
Options
- 15 Minute Boil Kit: none, or one of 11 recipes (Aussie Draught, Kveik Pale Ale, American Pale Ale, Hazy Pale Ale, Australian Sparkling Ale, Pacific Ale, Irish Stout, Mexican Cerveza, West Coast IPA, Vienna Lager and XPA). These kits are designed for brewing from scratch in a home kitchen with a large pot. Skip it if you already brew.
- Keg Types: none, 3 x 8L amber PET kegs for a small fridge or easy carrying, a 20L amber PET keg with an oxygen barrier material, or a 19L stainless steel keg, the classic home brew corny keg.
How to use
- Brew on the stove in a large pot (15L or more) using a 15 minute boil kit or your own recipe.
- Clean with PBW, sanitise, then fill the FermZilla and ferment under pressure.
- Move the finished beer to the keg through the Big Jumper closed transfer line and carbonate it in the keg with CO2.
- Chill the keg in a fridge and pour with the Bronco tap.
FAQ
What else do I need?
A large pot (15L or more) and a stove to brew, and a fridge big enough to hold your keg. If you choose no keg, you will need your own. Tell us what you already run and we will confirm what suits.
Do I have to order a brew kit?
No. The 15 minute boil kit is optional, so if you already brew you can choose None.
Which keg should I choose?
The 3 x 8L PET kegs suit a small fridge or easy carrying, the 20L PET keg is a full size keg, and the 19L stainless steel keg is the classic home brew option.
Is the gas included?
Yes. The kit includes a full 2.6kg CO2 cylinder and a dual gauge regulator.
