FAQ

Do I need to crush fruit first?

Yes for hard fruit like apples and pears; grind them to a paste for the best yield. Soft fruit such as grapes, raspberries and currants does not need grinding.

What does not press well?

Sugar beet, carrots and unripe or hard varieties.

Why a press rather than a juicer?

A press keeps the cores out of the juice, so it is more flavourful without bitterness. Take care grinding cores, as they can affect colour and taste.
