The percolation extraction is a process that is conducted at ambient temperature where a solvent is passed through the plant suitably comminuted. One proceeds with the loading of the plant, then the solvent is introduced from the top and passes through the plant material to a suitable speed (5ml / min x kg of the plant) which depends from the plant extract. The choice of solvent varies depending on the chemical nature of the active ingredients to be extracted.
