FAQ
How much spirit does one bottle of Top Shelf Kentucky Bourbon Essence flavour?
One bottle flavours 2.25L of 40% ABV neutral spirit or vodka, enough for three standard 750mL bottles.
Can I use store-bought vodka instead of home-made neutral spirit?
Yes. Any clean, neutral 40% ABV spirit or vodka works as the base.
Can I add oak to Kentucky Bourbon essence?
Yes. Ageing the flavoured spirit on American oak chips adds more barrel character.
