Kegmaster Super Deluxe Two Door Commercial Kegerator

The Kegmaster Super Deluxe is a two door, under counter commercial kegerator rated to run in ambient temperatures up to 43°C, which is the number that matters in an Australian bar in February.

There is 390L inside, enough for two 50L kegs and a gas cylinder, or ten 19L kegs and a gas cylinder. Both skins are stainless, 304 inside and 430 outside. The compressor assembly slides out for servicing rather than having to be dug out of the cabinet, and it runs a heavy duty Embraco compressor on R290 refrigerant under a Dixel digital controller. The cabinet arrives on castors, with a door lock, magnetic door gaskets, recessed handles, interior lights and a recessed drip tray plumbed for drainage.

Beer tower options

Order the fridge on its own, or with a T-bar beer tower, sometimes called a font, in a one, two, three, four or five tap configuration. Each tower is 304 stainless and assembles on 2 inch tri-clover fittings, so it comes apart by hand for cleaning with no threads and no tools. The taps sit on 3/4 inch KingLok fittings, which let you pull a tap off the line for maintenance without stripping the tower down.

The tower measures 360mm to the top of the font, not counting tap handles, and 330mm wide.

One thing that looks wrong and is not: the black silicone o-ring at the top of the 3/4 inch KingLok male thread does not need to seal against the top of the 3/4 inch female font port. It normally sits slightly proud, because the KingLok fitting is compressing against the SL6 washer instead. If it bothers you visually, take it off.

Mounting under a bench

If the fridge lives under a benchtop, use the under-bench telescopic stainless font adaptor. It joins the top of the kegerator to the underside of the counter and carries the font fan hose through, so the tower and the lines stay cold and the air returns to the fridge without leaking into the room. Drill the counter to the template printed on the box: one 38mm hole for the lines and fan hose, and four 7mm holes for the screws in the font base. The top half of the adaptor sits above the counter under the gasket and font, the bottom half meets a gasket on the kegerator port below, and the pair give you roughly 120mm of clearance between the two.
