A hazy pale ale built around Nectaron: pale malt with rolled oats and Carapils for body, 4.5% to 5.0%, and soft rather than bitter. A good introduction to hazy beers if you have only brewed clear ones.
The oats and Carapils are there for mouthfeel, not gravity. They leave protein in suspension, which is what gives the haze and the round texture — and at 25 IBU there is nothing sharp to cut across it.

- Original gravity: 1.060 undiluted, or 1.051 with 3 L of water added

What you get
- 16.5 L of pre-boiled, sealed wort in a cube
- No yeast — a New England or hazy ale strain such as K-97 suits it
There is no mash and no boil. Tip the wort into a sanitised fermenter, pitch your yeast and hold a steady temperature until fermentation finishes. Yeast is not supplied, so add a sachet to your order. Dry hops are not included; a second charge of Nectaron is what the recipe suggests.
