The FermZilla Home Brew Starter Kit (Plastic Bottles Basic Pack) is a budget way into home brewing: a 30L FermZilla flat bottom fermenter, 500mL amber PET bottles and the basic tools to brew, measure, clean and bottle. Add one of the 15 Minute Brew Kits (15MBK) and you have everything for your first batch apart from a pot and a few kitchen items.

Options
- Bottles: one, two, three or four packs of 24 x 500mL amber PET bottles. A full batch fills more than one pack, so consider extra bottles or moving to kegging.
- Beer kit: none, or a 15 Minute Brew Kit: Aussie Draught (Bush Basher), Kveik Pale Ale (Pit Voss), Hazy Pale Ale (Cosmos), XPA (Home Run), Pacific Ale (Ahab), West Coast IPA (Shakka), Irish Stout (Harper), ESB (Enigma) or Vienna Lager (Dasher).
How it works
A 15 Minute Brew Kit uses a short mini boil of dry malt extract and grains rather than a pre-hopped tin, which gives more control over flavour. The kits come with Lallemand yeast and vacuum sealed hops. After the boil, the wort goes into the FermZilla to ferment, then into bottles with a little priming sugar.
FAQ
What else do I need?
A pot of 15L or larger (such as the 35L DigiBoil), a thermometer, rubber gloves, and dextrose or table sugar for priming. A wide funnel helps when pouring into the fermenter. Tell us what you already run and we will confirm what suits.
What is a 15 Minute Brew Kit?
A beer recipe kit built around a quick mini boil with dry malt extract, grains, fresh hops and Lallemand yeast, as a step up from canned extract kits.
Are enough bottles included for a full batch?
One pack of 24 covers roughly half a standard batch. Choose two or more packs, or move to kegging later.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. The kit covers the essentials, so you can add equipment such as a kegging setup as you get more into the hobby.
