Obsidian is a black IPA recipe kit: American new-world hops over chocolate and coffee malt, so the aroma runs piney and citrus while the malt underneath is dark and roasty.
It is an extract recipe, so the fermentables come as malt extract and a steeping grain rather than a full grain bill, and the hop schedule and yeast are already chosen for you.
