How to use
- Weigh out the amount your recipe calls for.
- Dissolve it in warm water or wort, stirring to break up clumps.
- For a yeast starter, boil the DME solution, cool it, add a little yeast nutrient and pitch the yeast.
- Reseal the bag and keep it dry, as DME absorbs moisture.

Why use DME instead of sugar?
It raises the gravity with malt rather than plain sugar, so the beer keeps its malt flavour and body.
Is it good for yeast starters?
Yes. It's a must-have for starters, and works best with a little yeast nutrient.
Will extra light DME darken my beer?
It's the palest grade, so it adds very little colour.
