BrewZilla Gen 4 100L All Grain Brewing System

The BrewZilla Gen 4 100L is a single vessel all grain brewing system for batches up to 90L, with three 2200W heating elements, a built-in pump and a wifi-connected controller. It runs on a 32A single phase supply, or a qualified electrician can convert it to a 10A three phase connection.

The elements are deliberately low watt density, which keeps the wort off a scorching hot surface. That means less caramelisation in pale beers, fewer boilovers and an easier clean-up. The base drains fully into a concave floor, so you are not tilting the vessel to get the last of the wort out, and a false bottom screen catches around 95% of hops and hot break before they reach the pump.

Pump and malt pipe

The 25W magnetic drive pump handles liquid up to 120°C and draws 1.1A, so it can run continuously through a mash. The base holds a sealed electronics junction box instead of a bottom cover, which makes the pump easy to reach and the plumbing easy to re-route or bypass. The two stage malt pipe holds 72L, carries 30% more grain than the previous design and lifts in two stages rather than one heave. Its perforated lower section improves sparge and lauter flow.

RAPT controller

The controller has a full colour screen on a tilting frame at standing height, and it unclips for wash-down. Delay timing and step mash programming are built in. It connects to the RAPT portal over wifi, where you can log a brew, watch it from another room and control the system remotely, with push notifications when it is time to add hops or start the boil. You can set your own alarms and step messages for grain additions, mash-out, sparge and salt timings. It also works as a Bluetooth gateway, reading BLE thermometer sensors so the system can act on a temperature taken in the malt pipe or the coolant water rather than at the element.
