Benchy Sparkling Zero - Under Bench Chilled & Sparkling Water Tap Kit (240V) - No cylinder / No filter is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Chilled and sparkling water straight from the tap, with the hardware tucked away out of sight under your bench. The Benchy Sparkling Zero kit is a complete plumbed-in soda water system — connect it to your mains water and a CO2 cylinder, and you have unlimited still and carbonated water on demand. No ice, no glycol, no bottles to refill.
Unlike sealed consumer units, the Benchy runs on a standard MK4 regulator, so you set the carbonation level yourself rather than living with whatever the manufacturer decided. Dial it back for a soft spritz or push it up for something genuinely aggressive.
How it works
The Zero uses a solid carbon block threaded with copper tubing to pull heat out of the water as it passes through — no glycol reservoir to fill or maintain. Plug it in, connect the water and gas lines, and you'll be pouring chilled sparkling water inside an hour.
What's in the kit
- Benchy Sparkling Zero carbonator and chiller unit, 3.2L, 240V
- Dual outlet water tap for still and sparkling, with two 6.35mm duotight joiners
- Type 30 MK4 dual gauge regulator (4.5 bar PRV, 65psi gauge)
- Grey pressure relief valve, 100psi, to swap onto the regulator
- 6.35mm duotight diverter valve — connects straight to your under-sink 1/2" cold water supply
- Two duotight reducers, 8mm male to 6.35mm female
- EVABarrier 4mm x 8mm double wall hose for the CO2 line
- PET water line, 4mm x 6.3mm, 10m roll, for the mains connection
- EVABarrier 3mm ID x 6.35mm OD, 12m roll, for sparkling and chilled water out
- 6.35mm inline pressure limiting valve, 70psi, NSF watermarked
Choose your CO2
The kit itself doesn't include gas, so pick a cylinder above. A 2.6kg bottle suits light household use; if the tap is going into a busy kitchen, an office, or a café, go the 6kg — you'll refill far less often and the cost per litre drops. Both ship full and are certified to Australian standards. Already have a cylinder? Choose "No cylinder".
Add filtration (we'd recommend it)
The kit connects to your mains supply but contains no filtration. If you're drinking from this tap daily, add the twin under-sink filter kit above — a WaterMark certified twin housing with a 5 micron polyspun sediment cartridge and a 1 micron coconut carbon block.
Two reasons it's worth doing. Carbonating chlorinated water concentrates exactly the flavours you're trying to get away from, so unfiltered sparkling water tends to taste worse than unfiltered still water. And sediment reaching the unit shortens its life. Replacement cartridges are inexpensive and available separately.
Don't use a reverse osmosis system for this. RO strips the mineral content out entirely, which is ideal for building a brewing water profile and makes for flat, hollow-tasting drinking water.
Pressures
Water in: 70psi, set by the supplied inline limiting valve.
CO2: 60psi with the grey PRV fitted to the regulator. Stay between 55psi and 65psi.
Note that higher carbonation levels need longer sparkling water out lines to keep things balanced.

Also worth knowing
Output figures assume ambient-temperature mains water. Pre-chilling the incoming supply — through a keg held in a fridge, or an inline chiller — can more than double the hourly capacity.
The kit ships with a basic chrome dual outlet tap. If it doesn't suit your kitchen, the unit works fine plumbed to a premium mixer or a third-party tap of your choosing.
Never set the reservoir below 2°C — you risk freezing the water inside the carbonation keg. Install and operate per the manufacturer's manual.
