Hot, cold, chilled and sparkling — all from one tap. This is the premium version of the Benchy Sparkling Zero setup: instead of adding a second dedicated water tap alongside your existing mixer, the 4-in-1 replaces your kitchen mixer entirely and gives you four water types from a single fixture.

The carbonation unit lives out of sight under the bench. Connect it to mains water and a CO2 cylinder and you have unlimited chilled and sparkling water on demand, with no bottles, no ice and no glycol.

The tap

Choose brushed 304 stainless steel or matte black. Both are WaterMark compliant, minimally branded with a laser-etched Benchy logo on the cross bar, and measure 200mm from centre hole to the centre of the liquid outlet. They need a 35mm bench hole and about 75mm of under-bench thread clearance.

Each tap ships with two 600mm braided hoses on 1/2" BSP female loose nuts for hot and cold, two 600mm braided hoses on 3/8" BSP for chilled and sparkling, washers and mesh filters throughout, two 6.35mm monotight push fits, an allen key and a stabiliser spacer.

What's in the kit

  • Benchy Sparkling Zero carbonator and chiller unit, 3.2L, 240V
  • 4 way Benchy mixer tap in brushed stainless or matte black
  • Type 30 MK4 dual gauge regulator (4.5 bar PRV, 65psi gauge)
  • Grey pressure relief valve, 100psi, to swap onto the regulator
  • Tube cutter, 2 in 1
  • Red EVABarrier 5mm ID x 8mm OD, 12m roll, for the CO2 line
  • EVABarrier 3mm ID x 6.35mm OD, 12m roll, for sparkling and chilled water
  • PE water line, 4mm ID x 6.3mm OD, for the mains connection
  • 6.35mm duotight diverter valve for your under-sink cold water supply
  • 6.35mm inline pressure limiting valve, 70psi, NSF watermarked
  • Two duotight reducers, 8mm male to 6.35mm female

Choose your CO2

Gas isn't included in the base kit — add it above. A 2.6kg cylinder carbonates roughly 200L of soda water; a 6kg does around 500L. Both ship full and certified to Australian standards. Run the numbers against what you'd spend on bottled sparkling water and the payback is quick.

Add filtration (we'd recommend it)

The kit has no filtration in it. If you're drinking from this tap every day, add the twin under-sink filter kit — a WaterMark certified housing with a 5 micron sediment cartridge and a 1 micron coconut carbon block. Carbonating chlorinated water concentrates exactly the taste you're trying to avoid, so filtration matters more on a sparkling tap than a still one.

Pressures — read this before you order

Water in: 70psi, fixed by the supplied inline limiting valve.
CO2: 55–60psi on the regulator, with the grey PRV fitted.

The inline pressure reducer in this kit is capped at 70psi and isn't adjustable, and water must sit 10–15psi above gas pressure. That caps your maximum carbonation. For most people it's plenty. If you want it fizzier still, you'll need a WaterMark-approved adjustable inline reducer sourced separately.

Never apply unregulated mains pressure directly to the Benchy.

Specifications

  • Unit dimensions: 380mm H x 290mm W x 420mm D

  • Output: roughly 20–30L per hour at 20°C ambient
  • Refrigerant: R600a (80g)
  • Cooling power: 130W (0.18HP), rated current 0.9A
  • Gas in: CO2 at 2–3.5 bar, 8mm OD tube
  • Water in: 6.35mm OD tube, 1 bar above gas pressure
  • Water out: 8mm OD tube

Installation

This mixer tap must be installed by a licensed plumber. It also needs decent clearance beneath the benchtop for the flexible hoses — check your cabinet before ordering.

Pre-chilling the incoming mains supply, via a keg in a fridge or an inline chiller, can more than double the hourly output. Never set the reservoir below 2°C or you risk freezing the water in the carbonation keg.
