4L PET Oxebar Keg with Cap and Handle (PCO38) is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
The 4L Oxebar is a lightweight reusable PET keg with a PCO38 neck, supplied with a cap and a handle. It's built for taking beer somewhere: a camping trip, a barbecue, a mate's place.
The Oxebar Mono wall is a PET polymer blend made for gas barrier performance, with strong resistance to oxygen getting in and CO2 getting out. That's what makes it suitable for holding beer for three to six months rather than a couple of weeks.
At 325mm tall and 155mm across, the short profile fits inside most eskies, and it will dispense lying on its side when headroom is tight.
Do not exceed 4 bar (65psi) or 45°C.
Hydrotesting
Test the container every two years, up to 6 bar, at room temperature between 15 and 30°C. It's a simple process:
- Replace the red PRV with a grey PRV, which you can borrow from a 19L keg
- Fill the keg to the brim with water, and don't skip this step
- Bring it up to 6 bar with a bike pump, CO2 regulator, air compressor or any other pressure source
- Hold it at 6 bar for one minute
- Release the pressure, remove the grey PRV and swap the red PRV back immediately
