The BrewZilla Gen 4.1 is a 35L single vessel all grain brewery that mashes, boils and pumps from one 220-240V socket, so you can brew batches of up to 30L without plumbing anything in.
Most of what separates the 4.1 from earlier units is in the parts you handle on brew day. The base drains completely, so you are not tilting the brewery to get the last of the wort out, and the same shape makes CIP cleaning straightforward. A graduated PPSU sight glass lets you sparge and watch your volume without lifting the malt pipe. That malt pipe is a two stage design and takes 30 percent more grain than the previous one, which is the difference between a standard gravity batch and a big one, and the two height positions make it easier to lift when it is loaded.
A false bottom screen sits over the pump inlet and catches hop and hot break material before it reaches the pump. The element runs at a low watt density, so a pale wort caramelises less against the element, boil overs are less likely and cleaning is easier.
The RAPT controller has a full colour screen that detaches for cleaning and tilts so you can read it standing up, and it runs the pump as well. Connect the brewery to wifi and it reports to the RAPT portal, where you can log a brew, run a profile you have built for your own recipe, control the unit remotely and get a push notification when hops are due. It also works as a bluetooth gateway for BLE temperature probes, so coolant or malt pipe readings land in the same record.
