You can use the Turbo 500 to make Gin and Vodka. VODKA is the easiest, you make a pure spirit with the Turbo 500 and that is vodka. You can distil this two or three times to get a "Triple Distilled" vodka much like commercial brands. GIN follows the same process, however you then take that pure spirit and redistill it with botanicals to make a distilled gin. The Gin kit comes with the addition of the Botanicals Basket and botanicals.

The Alembic is used to retain the flavours of the wash. If you want to make a RUM with molasses, you would use the Alembic. You need a standard boiler to make rum as the molasses is easily fermented. If you want to make WHISKEY or BOURBON from grain, you need to upgrade the standard boiler to the Grainfather G30. This system will mash the grains so that they can be fermented.
