The Kegmaster Solstice is a 236L under bench kegerator built from 304 stainless steel that runs on 12V DC, so it can be powered from a wall socket, a battery bank or solar. This listing includes the beer tower, sometimes called a font, fitted with three UltraT FasTap taps.
The 12V design is what separates it from a mains-only keg fridge. A 240V power pack is included, so at home it plugs into a standard Australian 10 amp outlet. Away from mains power it will run from batteries, solar or a mix of the two supplying 12 volts at up to 15 amps, which is why it turns up in caravans, on boats, at mobile bars and in food service vehicles.
It heats as well as cools. The HJ-510 controller holds a set temperature in either mode and manages the defrost cycle, so the same cabinet can hold a fermentation temperature one month and pour cold beer the next. An internal cold air hose is included for cooling the beer tower.
All the heating and cooling comes from a removable cassette rather than coolant lines running through the walls and benchtop. Six screws release it, so the cassette can be swapped without replacing the cabinet.
Capacity is six Cornelius ball lock kegs, or four 20L PET King Kegs plus one Cornelius keg, or a single 50L commercial keg with its gas cylinder inside. Push-in through-wall gas ports keep the line entries sealed, the door reverses to suit the room, and the cabinet is rated to 40°C ambient. For an under bench install, leave 100mm of clear ventilation on the cassette side.
