Yeast and carbon decide whether a sugar wash finishes clean or carries off flavours into the final spirit. The range covers turbo yeast strains for different fermentation speeds and temperatures, turbo carbon for use during fermentation, and clearing agents for the stage before distilling.

Choosing a Strain

Faster strains reach distillation sooner but produce more fermentation odour, while premium strains take longer and finish cleaner. In an Australian summer a heat tolerant strain is often the difference between a usable wash and a stuck one.
