Melba, affectionately called "The Dame of Hops", is bred by Ellerslie Hop Estate and has a high oil content similar to Galaxy. This versatile hop adds a clean and slightly spicy bitterness when used early in the boil, and brings notes of passionfruit, grapefruit, and citrus when used for flavor or aroma.
