Designed specifically for optimal fermentation.

It keeps fermentation going without over-heating the yeast. Suitable for both plastic and glass fermenters. Only uses 25 watts of electricity and comes with a 6" power cord.

Heating from the bottom up ensures constant and consistent temperature without hot spots. Rise in temperature will depend on batch size and room temperature.

  • Provides a low, constant heat where it is needed.
  • Aids yeast activity and helps to avoid stuck fermentation
  • Can also be used for seed germinating and hydroponics
  • Inexpensive to run
  • Moulded in high quality, flame retardant plastic
  • Do not use during the first 24 hours of fermentation
  • Dimensions: 32 x 32cm
  • 220-240 Volts / 25 Watts

Q&A

how much weight can the heat pad take? i cant find any information on this thanks
Hi Ramahl, they are designed for 25-30L fermenters😊
Is this temperature controlled I want for my Kombucha
Hi Angela, this is not temperature controlled, you can use a stick on thermometer on your fermenter to monitor the temperature and adjust accordingly: https://distilleryking.com.au/products/stick-on-thermometer
put my first brew in yesterday, but brew temp down overnight to 10, did see the odd bubble in airlock, but can't turn on heat pad until 12.45 today[ 24hrs ], will this damage my brew, also is it okay to use cling wrap with pin ***** instead of airlock, I last did brewing 30yrs ago and used the visual method so not to disturb the brew, I know times have changed, cheers
Hi Ces, that's fine, when the wash is too cold the yeast goes dormant so you can leave it under temperature as long as you want. When you bring it back up to 15 degrees and over, it will wake up and start fermenting again. For reference, if it gets too hot that's a problem, as if it goes over temperature, the yeast will be killed. And yes if you want to use the cling wrap method that's fine, the airlock is there to make sure nothing from outside gets into the wash but the wash doesn't need to be sealed from the air outside.
Hi, will this heat pad work with a stainless steel fermenter such as Mangrove Jacks craft series home brew kit? Cheers Scott
Hey Scott! It will yes :)
