With this kit, you can make 8L of 40% alcohol per batch. The yeast pack and essences are included in the kit got your first batch, and once you are up and running, all you need to make the next 8L is this $49 Classic 6 Batch Pack, plus 6kg of white sugar or dextrose.
That works out to be just over $4 per bottle of 40% neutral spirit.
Add to that an essence to that can flavour 2.25L of neutral spirit, which is $14 for the Top Shelf range.
You can have your very own rum, vodka, gin, brandy, bourbon - or whatever you like - for just over $8 per bottle.

"Bought this as a gift for my husband, I’ve never seen him so excited about anything I’ve bought him before! He set it up straight away and we already have about 8L of vodka within a couple of weeks. I can’t comment on how to use it but from observation, it takes some close folllowing of instructions and watching several YouTube videos. I recommend getting the water flow regulator in your package as it really makes life easier (hubby didn’t realise I had bought that as well and was struggling with water flow at first). The company were fab to buy from, good communication, friendly, fast and efficient delivery. Big thumbs up."

Q&A
Can I use the turbo 500 in my apartment? Or will it stink it out and its best to use the air still?
Hi Charlie, yep you can use the Turbo 500 in your apartment, no worries. The smell only comes from fermenting the wash, the Air Still kit has a fermenter with a carbon cartridge on top to help absorb the smell, whereas the fermenter in the Turbo 500 kit has a normal airlock, so it's true that the wash using this fermenter will be a bit more smelly, but the actual distillation will be fine
What effect does the chlorine & other chemicals in tap water have on the fermenting process? Can I use RO or distilled water? And when diluting the alcohol collected from the distilling process is it better to use RO, distilled or tap water?
Hi Paul, thanks for the question :) Because you are distilling the water as well as the alcohol from the wash, it is fine to use normal tap water for fermentation. When diluting the distilled alcohol, so long as you carbon filter after dilution, using tap water is also fine, as the carbon filters both the water and the alcohol. Does the Turbo 500 come with spirits essences or do l purchase them separately
Hi Simone, depending on the pack you get, some kits come with essences and some don't, if you check each listings if it asks you which Top Shelf essences you'd like, then it comes with essences and you can select which ones you'd like :)
Can you use the turbo500 with a real potato’s instead of the sugar wash? Is it possible. Or is the still not designed for that?

What if i want to use a garden hose do i have to have water regulator
Hi Roslyn, you don't have to have it but it is recommended. The water pressure from the garden hose can be a bit inconsistant which will make the temperature of your condenser fluctuate.
