We have four warehouses in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Launceston. Your order might ship from any of these warehouse, or from a combination of these warehouses as different stock is located in different warehouses. For our free, flat-rate and Parcel Post deliveries, estimated time from dispatch based on working days from our main warehouse in Brisbane are as follows:

Our Alcometers are long and easy to read
An Alcometer / Alcoholmeter (as apposed to a Wash, Wine & Beer Hydrometer) is used to test the strength of your spirit. Additives such as flavouring and Liquid Glucose will distort the hydrometer readings. Alcometers should only be used to test spirit before any additives such as flavouring or liquid glucose are mixed. The Alcometer is floated in the spirit to measure the alcohol content. As alcohol is thinner than water, the higher in strength the alcohol is, the further down the hydrometer floats. The reading is taken where the surface of the spirit cuts the scale of the hydrometer.

- Do you have shoop in Sydney?
- Hi Mohey, we don't have any retail stores as we are online only :) Our stock ships from either Brisbane or Melbourne and this alcometer ships from Brisbane.
- Hi. Can you use this item for multiple times and measure alchol content in home made kombucha?
- Hi Marju, this is reusable but wouldn't be suitable to use to measure the alcohol content in kombucha as the other compounds in the kombucha will give a false reading. Hence this is only suitable for measuring the ABV of pure alcohol.

- Hi, Can this be used to measure the alcohol content of a hand sanitiser or alcohol disinfectant sprays?
- Hi Jamie, it can only be used to measure the ABV of the alcohol before any additives. Once you add something to it, it will give a false reading. If you want to see the ABV of something you already have, you can distil this solution to test it.
