Utilise the G40 or G70 Brewing System to create both reflux and pot stills for producing all-grain light and dark spirits. With the Distilling Lid, an Attachment Kit*, and the appropriate Still Spirits condenser**, the G40 or G70 becomes a comprehensive automated brewing system that can also distill spirits from grain. The Distilling Lid can also function as a steam condenser, reducing the accumulation of moisture on indoor walls and ceilings (when paired with the appropriate equipment). *By using the Distilling Lid and one of our attachment kits, you can attach either a Still Spirits T500 Reflux or T500 Alembic Condenser** to your brewing system.
Create high-quality, clean spirits like vodka or neutral spirits with the Distilling Lid + T500 Reflux Condenser Attachment Kit and Still Spirits T500 Reflux Condenser, or choose the Distilling Lid + T500 Alembic Condenser Attachment Kit for crafting premium, flavourful spirits such as whiskey, bourbon, rum, and gin with the Still Spirits T500 Alembic Condenser. Both condensers are sold separately.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
The Grainfather G40/G70 Distilling Lid is ideal for small to medium-sized still heads without heavy, off-center attachments. Its flexibility allows for a perfect fit within the following specifications:
A still head height up to 1.1 m (3.6 ft) from the lid.
A still head weight up to 11 kg (24 lbs), including up to 2 kg (4.4 lbs) of off-centre weight from a swan neck, lyne arm, or condenser running in parallel with the column and offset up to 160 mm (6”) to the main column.
We recommend external support if:
Your still exceeds the above specifications.
The lyne arm is not vertical but angled or perpendicular running away from the column, resulting in significantly distant off-centre weight.
If the main still head (column) is noticeably leaning.
