- How do you use this?
- Hi Josh, these are for for soaking your final distillate. In much the same way that bourbon is aged in a barrel, this helps to "age" your spirit. These staves are from actual bourbon barrels and are already full of bourbon flavour, they smell wonderful. These are especially good to soak the pure spirit you make with the Air Still or Turbo 500 as they impart the bourbon flavour they have already soaked up, as well as giving you that charred oak flavour and a more rounded spirit in terms of mouthfeel.
