Elevate your fermentation game with the G40 IceMaster Glycol Chiller, which offers the unique feature of dual cooling and heating control. Easily wire a heating device into the temperature controller, allowing you to set and maintain the perfect temperature for your vessel. Plus, for safety, remember to have a trained electrician install the heating device. Keep your brew at its best with this cutting-edge chiller!
Compressor NOT Thermoelectric
As great as thermoelectric glycol units are for their low cost, they simply can't match the power and efficiency of compressor cooling when it comes to quickly chilling wort. Although compressors increase the initial manufacturing cost, they are up to 6 times more electrically efficient for this application, ultimately saving you money. Plus, they are significantly more powerful and perform better in hot ambient temperatures compared to thermoelectric units. Don't miss out on the unbeatable cooling power of compressor cooling if you want to effectively crash chill your fermenter.
Chill Wort
Effortlessly bring your wort from 100C to 50C using tap water, but the real struggle begins when trying to cool from 50C to 18C. As your water may be as warm as 35C, it becomes nearly impossible to reach optimal yeast pitching temps. Fortunately, the Icemaster G40 easily solves this issue by utilizing sub-zero glycol to swiftly and efficiently cool your fermenter to the perfect temperature for fermentation.
(PLEASE NOTE: only use this unit to chill wort after you have already chilled down to <50c with water, otherwise there is a risk of overloading the compressor). This unit can be used in conjunction with all these chiller options:
a) BrewZilla 65L Immersion Chiller
b) Coolossus Stainless Counter Flow Chiller
c) BrewZilla 35L Chiller
d) 30 Plate Heat Exchanger
Installation Requirements
This unit requires a 100mm Clearance around all air vents.
Regular maintenance of dust around the radiator is required to ensure optimum efficiency. Ideally used with Glycol/Water ratio of 20% to achieve -8°C freezing point
