Simcoe and Galaxy over pilsner, pale, Carapils, flaked oats and wheat.

Lactose is the reason the style exists. Brewer's yeast cannot ferment it, so it stays in the beer as residual sweetness and body — which is also why this one is not a beer for anyone avoiding dairy.

Specifications

Wort volume: 16.5 L

Original gravity: 1.065 undiluted, or 1.055 with 3 L of water added

Bitterness: 42 IBU

Style: Milkshake IPA

Hops: Simcoe and Galaxy

Malt: pilsner, pale, Carapils, flaked oats, wheat and lactose

What you get

16.5 L of pre-boiled, sealed wort in a cube

No yeast — a hazy or New England ale strain suits it

There is no mash and no boil.
